Cherokee County Museum Named to Landmarks REgister

The Cherokee County Historical Museum has been approved for a listing on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage by the Alabama Historical Commission.

 

The register is a prestigious listing of historic, architectural, and archaeological landmarks in the state. These selected Alabama landmarks are worthy of both recognition and preservation, said the approval letter.
The Cherokee County Museum offers a collection of historical artifacts, tools, photos, and folk art from Cherokee County, Alabama. Large screen and discovery touch exhibits for kids. Open Tues-Fri 9 am-4 pm, Admission $3.
