THREE NAMED TO AL MUSIC HALL OF FAME BOARD
Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley announced recently he has appointed state Tourism Director Lee Sentell, acting state Finance Director Bill Newton, and Huntsville/Madison County CVB President/CEO Judy Ryals to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors.
The trio replace three board members who resigned. Board member Jimmy Johnson, who served for at least 25 years, resigned about two months ago, while Hank Adam Locklin and Norbert Putnam resigned in the past month.
“These appointees bring a wealth of tourism, marketing, and financial management experience,” Gov. Bentley said. “I am grateful for their commitment, and I appreciate the hard work of everyone who has served the Hall of Fame during a challenging time.”
Sentell would like to see the Hall of Fame open to the public in the near future to take advantage of a the theatrical debut of a documentary film on Muscle Shoals music.
Sentell said his goal is to get the Alabama Music Hall of Fame open before the documentary film “Muscle Shoals” begins its theatrical run the last part of September.
