SCI-QUEST LAUNCHES NEW LOGO
Sci-Quest, the Hands On Science Museum in Huntsville, has released a new logo as the group prepares for its move this year to Madison.
The move to Madison will also kick off the start of a multimillion dollar capital campaign. That campaign will help develop Sci-Quest into a state-of-the-art science center. Sci-Quest announced its move to Madison back in the fall of 2012 and is expected to be completed before the end of 2013. The move was brought about by Calhoun Community College’s need to expand their Huntsville campus into the space occupied by Sci-Quest.
The new home will be at 9076 Madison Boulevard in the Madison Village Shopping Center, adjacent to Old Time Pottery. The 45,000 square foot building is well-suited to be rapidly transformed into Sci-Quest’s new facility.
The future home of Sci-Quest is about eight miles from the center’s current location at Calhoun Community College and easily accessible from Interstate 565 at the Wall Triana Exit. The new site will feature more than 100 interactive exhibits.
Sci-Quest Executive Director Cyndy Morgan said the vision is to expand and enhance the Sci-Quest experience by creating a new educational and entertainment attraction like none other in the Tennessee Valley.
